SUFFRAGETTE [2015 October]
Possibly a heavyweight contender at the film awards next year, upcoming British drama Suffragette boasts a stellar cast led by Carey Mulligan, multiple Oscar-winner Meryl Streep, Helena Bonham Carter. The historical drama which focuses on the story of women fighting for the right to vote in the early 20th-century is directed by Sarah Gavron. I've been eager but yet to watch Gavron's "Brick Lane" (2006) which gave her BAFTA & BIFA award nominations. Dignity, purity & hope are the main themes encapsulated in this film written by "Shame" (2011) writer Abi Morgan
